if you look closely, you may notice it resembles the size and shape of my heiney. That's because it is where my heiney when through the wall at about 1:00 this morning. Back up to last week-we decided the kids were staying up too late, and maybe it was because we were still up. We moved Maddie upstairs, and Tim and I took her room downstairs. It really has worked out well, the entire upstairs is now quiet and dark and everyone is going to sleep earlier....YAH!!!
My only worry has been that Aiden and/or Owen would come to get in bed with us at night (which happens frequently) and fall down the stairs. I heard Owen get up last night, went to get him so he wouldn't fall, and ended up falling myself. I thought I was on the landing, but I was really on the second step, so I fell backwards straight into the wall. My heiney, back, ankle and shoulder are all sore. Thankfully, Owen was only shaken up. Guess I should have let him come down on his own.....it would have been safer!!!!!

my choir boy......
Walker was selected to sing with the Salem High School choir this evening, along with other children from each of the 4 City of Salem schools. It was a long concert, but very nicely done. After the 5 high school choirs and the middle school choirs sang, it was time for the elementary school. They did a great job, and he had a great time. Isn't that all that really matters????

our monkey......
As we all know, Aiden is our "monkey". He loves to climb, and, he loves monkeys. This is his "symbol" in preschool. It is how they identify their things, and their friends, while they learn to write their name. It is amazing that he actually colored this much, as he hates coloring! They made it into a magnet at school (as a fund raiser, of course!) and we now use it on our fridge!

Saturday at the park
Since Tim took the older two snow tubing today, I got to stay at home with the younger two. I asked Aiden where he would like to go, expecting him to say Target, and he replied "the park". So, we walked the long 4 house distance to the park to play on the new equipment. They had a great time! And best of all, noone got burnt!

In case you ever wondered....
what happens when you go snow tubing when it is 70 degrees and sunny outside....you get burnt to a crisp!! In hind site, it makes perfect sense that the sun reflects off the snow and this occurs, but we didn't think about that this morning! oooops! As Aiden would say "didn't see that coming!"

and then it snowed
Maddie can definitely hold her own during a snowball fight!
The boys had a blast throwing snowballs at each other!
Aiden wanted to make a snow angel, but the snow just wasn't deep enough...maybe tomorrow...
Walker enjoyed sledding and pelting everyone with snowballs!
On the way home from our weekend trip, we ran into snow. And by ran into-I mean drove into and through!!! We saw lots of salt trucks, and 2 wrecks. Thankfully, we made it home safely, and the kids enjoyed throwing snowballs for a while. Hard to believe we were just swimming yesterday......(albeit indoors in heated pools!)

A quick trip to the beach.....
It was too cold (oh yeah, and rainy) to go out on the beach (although Maddie and Walker did go out for a few minutes), but we still had fun. (I took this picture from the balcony of our room on the 7th floor....pretty cool, huh??!!)
This was the coolest place ever! It had an indoor pool, w/ kiddie stuff, a lazy river, and a hot tub. Aiden loved the kiddie part the best.....
Owen wasn't really fond of the water, but he liked moving the pieces on this giant chess set.
Walker liked playing under the waterfall, and chasing Aiden....
Maddie had fun just swimming around! We went down Friday after noon, and came back Sunday. It was a lot of traveling, but we got a lot of shopping and swimming done also! All in all, a great weekend!
