Hoppy Easter!!

The kids are off and running to find the easter eggs hidden by Maddie and Walker.
Aiden's bunny basket is a little worse for wear....but he wanted to use it at grandma's house for the final easter egg hunt!

Aiden and Owen were happy with the amount of eggs they found.
 Aiden and Tyson hanging out.
Gavin stopped to check out what was in his eggs.
Joe gave hints from above as to where some of the eggs were.
Owen found one hiding on the swing.
Mom and dad chatting with the grandkids.....
Paige showing Joe what she was able to find.

What happens when you try to......

.....get one picture with all 4 kids in it?????

the background was too busy in this one....
 Aiden blinked.....
 Owen blinked......
 Owen blinked again......
well---all their eyes are open in this one...........
better luck next time!

Three down, one to go.......

Tyson thought it would be funny to give Aiden bunny ears.....it was! Especially since it's easter!!!

This morning we went to an easter egg hunt with some friends from church.

Owen seemed pretty excited when he found each egg!

Soccer Season

Tonight was Aiden's first soccer game so the kids and I headed to Carver to watch.  Maddie was the photographer for the evening, and got some pretty cool shots!

Walker was an awesome big brother and watched Owen play at the park for a while.
I was able to snag the camera from Maddie once and get a picture of her.
The sun was in Owen's eyes.....
The sun was in their eyes too!
 Owen got thirsty......

Coloring Eggs

Today the boys colored easter eggs.

Walker observed from the living room.

Maddie slept in my room.

Now to make egg salad..........

Easter Egg Hunt-part 2

The first grade kids made the cutest bunny baskets in school this year. Although the teacher said they were harder than others, and they would not be making them again!

Each child got 5 eggs, labeled with their name on it. (guess who stuffed and labeled all 95 eggs?)

Here's Aiden's entire class when the hunt was over.

Mrs. Sutherland received a donation towards purchasing the entire classroom excercise balls, and then someone else "matched" it, so each child has their own ball to sit on. It helps cut down on the wiggles. (and, as a plus for Aiden, they are all green!)

Easter Egg Hunt-Part One

Owen's preschool has an easter egg hunt each year, so this is Owen's third!! He and his friends had a great time running around the playground finding eggs. He has another one with church friends tomorrow, and again on Sunday with his cousins. We are doing our part to keep the candy companies in business.

A new trampoline

Everyone knows Aiden LOVES to jump on the trampoline. That is his "alone place", and nothing can make him happier than to go outside and jump, or just walk around.  That's why it was a big deal when he came in last Wednesday and said it was broken.  When I went outside to look, this is what I found

Definitely broken.  I got online and searched diligently for a new one....but they all had to be shipped.  Tim happened to be in a Walmart (a store I loath and despise to go into) at the time, and found one there!  We went back the next day in the van (he was in his work truck at the time) and bought it.  Four hours later we had the thing put together!!

It was absolutely worth it.......

Where does the time go??

I found this while cleaning the den this weekend.  My, how time flies!

Did you know....

.....that it is illegal to keep a wild bunny?  Did you know that they are so timid, even a slamming door could give them a heart attack?  Well, now you do.  With this knowledge (and the fact that the sweet baby bunny we found didn't make it...) we have a new pet---drumroll please--- "Hop" was rescued from the Roanoke SPCA on Friday and now resides in Aiden and Owen's room.  The funniest thing happened that afternoon....Owen came running into my room yelling "MOM!MOM!MOM! The bunny is laying eggs!!!!"  Poor guy didn't know what bunny poop looked like!  The cat is still getting used to it......

Another pet??

This is the baby bunny the kids rescued from the cat yesterday.  I wish I caught a picture of them chasing it around the front yard, trying to catch it.....
Here they are gently petting it.....after a trip to walmart, it now has a bed of wood chips, some food and a water bottle it is too little for.  I guess I'll go out to petsmart today and get the other things it needs.....hope it makes it, they are pretty attached to it!
