Lights Out

Tuesday night during a storm, our electricity went out....which has never happened before.  We got our flashlights, lit the lantern (after searching high and low for matches!! lesson learned -- keep the matches with the oil latern) and played uno.  It was actually a pretty fun evening!

Last Day of School

Tuesday was the last day of school.  Aiden's class had a party, so of course, Owen tagged along.  They both had a fun time.  Maddie even walked over from the high school.  All Aiden's classmates thought she was pretty cool.

Aiden is cheering Owen on....whichever team filled up the bowl with water the fastest using wet sponges won!

Aiden may look like he's having trouble....but he was running backwards!!

Soccer Banquet

Tonight was Aiden's soccer banquet, which was held at Loch Haven.  I thought it was a little chilly to get in the water, so we just brought our dinner and planned on "hanging out".  As soon as we got there, one of Aiden's teammates came running up and asked him to get in the canoe with him.  I was nervous at first, but decided since he had a life jacket on, all would be well.  I'm so glad I did....he had a great time.

They headed from the dock to a pontoon boat.  I was a nervous wreck watching them get out of the canoe and onto the boat.

Owen finally decided it did look like fun, and he would like to join in.  Aiden and Andrew headed back, picked him up, and off they went.
