Another quick trip

Did I say quick?  I really meant "day trip".  We left at 6:15am Saturday morning to go to the temple in Columbia South Carolina to see Adam and Kari at the temple there.  Afterwards we all went out to lunch.  We were going to go the the zoo, but  it closed at 5:00, not leaving much time.  Instead, we went to Concord Mills and IKEA.  Not too bad of a day.....even though it was over 8 hours in the car, it was totally worth it!

The Pinewood Derby

We have once again entered the years of Cub Scouts and Pinewood Derby's.  Aiden wanted his car to look like a shark, he LOVES jaws!!  I think it came out pretty well.  He made it into the finals, and ended up in 4th place, not too shabby.  Just as cool, his cousin Tyson got first place--woohoo!

He also earned his wolf badge, three arrow points, two beads and eleven belt loops!!

Quick Trip

Saturday my niece Emma, was baptized in Rome, Georgia.  We thought it would be nice to take a road trip and get to see this.  In order to break  up the trip (and save some money) we stayed in Pigeon Forge Friday and Saturday night, since it is about halfway between here and there.  We rode 930 miles from 4pm Friday to 7pm Sunday.  There aren't many pictures, since we were in the car most of the time, but it was still a nice weekend!
