Tonight was pumpkin carving night......
| In case you can't tell, it's the bat symbol, a turtle, and a joker's face. |

I do a lot of laundry. This means I go through a ton of laundry detergent and fabric softener. I keep seeing recipes on pinterest of ways to make your own.....here is what I did:

Well, I guess today was the last time I visit Sinkland Farms on a fieldtrip (sniff sniff--ha ha ha)
It was pretty chilly and windy, but we had a good time. I wasn't going to walk through the corn maize for fear I would fall and hurt my foot, but it became a non-issue when we ran out of time.

Today was Owen's 7th birthday. I made a cake I found on pinterest (finally, a successful endeavor!). Owen got the ipod touch he has been begging for....all in all, a great day!

It's the phone call every parent of a new driver dreads.....the one with a teenager sobbing on the other end, totally unable to communicate. I knew something had happened when the phone rang at 6:30am, when they should have already been at seminary. A phone call that early is never a good sign! Once Maddie calmed down, she explained that she had taken a corner too sharp, and hit something that punctured the wall of her tire. Kirk was able to put the spare on for her, and I took it for new tires while she was at school. $429 later, she has 4 new tires!!!
